As you know, last Sunday, June 21st, marked the first official day of summer. So, for this week's Southern Elle Style Shop Share, I am bringing you the perfect treat to keep you cool during the hottest part of the year - Alchemy Pops!
I first tried Alchemy Pops at the Kendra Scott grand opening at the Plaza at Preston Center, in Dallas. One lick of the grapefruit-rosemary pop and I was SOLD! Soon after, I met with Carolyn, the owner and chef of Alchemy Pops, to learn more about her, as well as taste test her newest pop: straight up strawberry! In this post, I'm actually eating a Straight Up Strawberry pop, and my boyfriend is eating a Cold Brew Coffee + Cream. To view all her flavors, click here.
Carolyn gets her ingredients seasonally, from local farmers markets, as often as she can. If she can't find local products in DFW, she tries to make sure that they are native to her home state of Texas. As a huge advocate for small businesses, I love that she supports other artisans, which in turn create a niche for her own brand. How neat is that?
