If you follow me on social media or know me and Nick personally, you know that food is important to us. We wanted to have great food at our wedding, because that is always something that makes the night! People will only remember 2 things - if the food was horrible or if it was really good annnnd of course we wanted the latter. Culinary Art Catering was the first place we tasted and we pretty much knew it was the one. Here's why:

1) Food. Their food is amazing! We got a lot of compliments on it , which made me so happy. As a wedding guest of many times, there's nothing worse than bad food (well, unless they run out...LOL) We had chicken, which wasn't dry! That's really hard to do in a group setting -we had around 200 people! We did 3 passed appetizers - beef satay, skewered caprese salad, and chicken trumpets. For dinner we did the sun-dried tomato chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, matchstick vegetables, and rolls.

2) Service. From the initial tasting, to the wedding day, they were great! In addition to customer service, they know how to actually serve people and not have you run out of food. That's super embarrassing and horrible for your guests and we did NOT want that to happen...and it didn't! I've been at weddings before and they ran out of food - by the end, most restaurants are closed and you are out of luck!

3) Price. Think about everything you need - you may be able to afford a plated dinner, but these often come with more servers, which ups your charge. My mom really wanted to do a plated dinner, but it didn't matter to me. We talked it over with Culinary Art and they said that doing a plated dinner is considered nicer, but that doesn't save you time in the end - it takes roughly the same amount of time. I love that they were honest about that, even though they would have made more money.

4) Offerings. Whether you are looking for a buffet like I did, or want a plated dinner, they have it all. From passed appetizers, to stations, they have the classics and the current trends. They also have the ability to feed your friends who have special food needs like GF and vegetarians!

Side note - I know there weren't a lot of photos of the food, BUT it was because people aren't really attractive when they are eating and buffets aren't that pretty. Also, if I had to give ONE TIP in regard to food besides making sure it was good, I would say to make sure your coordinator/mom/etc packs you up food. I was not hungry at all during the wedding, so I didn't really eat; however, I realized I was ravenous when we got in the car to go leave. We had our entire meal set and appetizers packed away for us, including part of our late night snack!

Have you ever heard of Culinary Art Catering? I highly recommend them if you need any kind of event catering in Dallas!
