This weekend I helped my boyfriend get a Christmas tree, for his apartment. (To see how much he paid for it click here, LOL) Living in a loft, he has tons of space and a lot of room to decorate. I don't know if is because I didn't grow up with real Christmas Tree or that my apartment is smaller than his, but I don't go all out to decorate for the holidays. Oh, I do decorate - I have some lights on my patio, cinnamon - glitter pine cones, and a mini Christmas tree, but it's not near as decorated as the home I grew up in. Perhaps it's because I don't live in a house...because I don't see myself living in my apartment long term. It's much easier for me invest in something, if I know it will be around for a while. Anyone else feel me on that?

I graduated from college 3 years ago (this December, actually!) and am not married, so I kind of fit the typical, single girl mold of living in a Dallas apartment. Now that's not to say that I couldn't have apartment life forever, but I don't just don't see that for myself.  I mean who wants to continually pay $500 pet deposits and $25 a month for a valet trash service that you can't opt out of? Not me!

While I (as well as my Pinterest boards) look forward to having my own home, it is also kind of scary. The words "loan" and "mortgage"  are enough  to send me running; however, with Capital One, they don't have to be!

We live in an age of ease, where we want things done 5 minutes ago and thankfully Capital One is a first responder to our generation's cry. You may think of them as having witty commercials with Alec Baldwin and Jennifer Garner, but after I give you more deets on their new and re-imagined home loan process, I hope you think of them differently!

Available in select markets, Capital One's new home loan experience allows you to pre-qualify for a home loan literally in minutes, from any device! You can apply online, upload documents and digitally track progress from application to closing. It also includes personalized service from a dedicated loan officer when a you need it. Can you say easy, or what?! Confession: I don't even fill out my own insurance forms -  I give them to my dad to look at. So, I'm sure he is just as happy as I am, that this is something I can do myself, without stressing out!

If you are in the DFW area, come celebrate the launch of Capital One's new digital and personal experience, this Saturday, December 12th, at the Stonebriar Centre Mall, in Frisco, TX. They are partnering with HGTVā€™s Love It or List It, Too stars, Jillian Harris and Todd Talbot, to host a free and open-to-the public Open House! During the event, theyā€™ll share DIY tips and tricks for simplifying the entire home buying and owning process.
