Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: How to Shop it + What I'm Shopping for
Hey babes! I'm super excited for this week, because it's the start of the best sale of the year! If you have a Nordstrom Card, you get to shop early access of their Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, starting this Thursday, July 13th! If you don't have the card and don't want to sign up for one, you can shop the sale, starting July 21st. (It goes until August 6th).
ANYWAY, I thought I'd help prepare you for the sale, because I'm honestly surprised how many people aren't aware that this sale exists. Just last week, I mentioned it to my co-workers and they were like WHAT?! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale consists of amazing new fall product and it pretty much all goes on sale. There really isn't another sale like it.
The photos I included in this blog post include some of my top purchases from other Nordstrom Anniversary Sales! I think my favorite last year were the Sperry Duck Boots! They were on sale for around $70 and normally $100! I love to wear them in the rain, when I don't want to have to clonk around in my actual rain boots, plus they are warm!

I know some people don't know where to begin, so here are some of my favorite things to purchase/look for at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:
1) Shoes. Whether you need a classic pair or a statement pair, you're going to find something you like! These are my favorite thing to buy as well, because they are the easiest thing to make your cost per wear worth it!
2) Basics. Your white shirt that now has yellow pits or your jeans have holes, now is the time to get them!
3) Gifts. I know it's early but Christmas is coming up... I also think of birthdays in the coming months, too! Sometimes it's fun to just buy little goodies here and there, to have a gift stash, when you need them!
4) Designers. Have your eye on a pair of Tory Burch Boots or a Kate Spade Bag? Get the new styles NOW and on sale!

Okay so now that you're warming up to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it's processes, here's some tips I have for you, in order to shop it successfully:
1) Make your list pre-sale. DO NOT go into it blindly - you will set yourself up to fail! Know your plan and work it, whether you are shopping in store or online.
2) Make a budget. Decide what you are going to spend and stick to it! Not joking!!
3) Categorize needs, wants, maybes. When you make your list, know your absolutes and shop those first, so you can ensure that you get them!
4) Go for your top picks first. If you want it now, go ahead and get it. Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns, so better safe than sorry. It's not just designer pieces that go fast either! I remember this striped chunky sweater went SO fast last year. When something is cute and discounted, people lose their minds!
5) Visit LMents of Style for all sale updates and top picks! I'll have a blog post for ya starting at midnight when the sale hits! I'll also have tabs in my "shop with me" category that will be my top picks under $100, top picks under $200, and a top shoe picks drop down! I'll also have blog posts covering those things as well!
