Merry Christmas, y'all! Every Friday I usually share a product or retailer. Today I will still be "sharing" but it won't be anything you can buy.

In a world where people post all the gifts they receive Christmas morning via social media, it's obvious the focus and meaning of Christmas is shoved to the side. Now, I'm not saying don't buy presents for the ones you love or not to go to holiday parties, I'm just saying, don't lose site of the season.

I love everything that Christmastime brings (everything I mentioned above and more!),  but honestly it can be hard for several reasons. Whether it reminds you of your loneliness or you get easily stressed, next time it happens, stop and think. Who cares what you give or get if you don't share what it is meant for: love.

Jesus wasn't born to die on the cross, so you could halfheartedly celebrate Christmas. So make sure you are extra considerate and show love to everyone you meet everyday, but especially on Christmas.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that I'm at home, in Garland, for Christmas. Christmas Eve we attend a service at my parents' church, then come home to a smorgasbord of food. (See it all on my Snapchat: ElleSpann) Tomorrow we will wake up and open presents, go to the movies, then have Christmas dinner. It's nothing special, but I love it. What do you do for Christmas? Or do you celebrate a different holiday? I'd love to know your traditions!

Oh and here's some last minute Christmas outfit inspo  if you need it! You may notice this dress, as I wore it to my Dallas Cowboys Christmas Party, last Sunday.  We don't dress up that formal on Christmas and whether you do or don't, you can never go wrong with some red lips! It instantly makes you festive :)

Have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Southern Elle Style Shop Share will be back to normal next Friday, with a super glam look!

P.S. Today's post was my first day to use my new 50mm lens. Do you like it?! I can't wait to use it more.
